Priceless Nothing is more permanent than something temporary… That rule somehow applied to the creation of “The Ascended Man” necklace too. A few years ago I found a completely wrecked male head with tired eyes and turned it into a pendant called “The Ascended Man.” His face expresses either calmness, disgust, or maybe he’s smiling with his soul… The naïve yellow toy butterfly hints at a spiritual transformation, a sense of becoming weightless. From cocoon to butterfly… At the same time, it’s just an absurd little element disrupting masculine seriousness. To make this man shine even harder, I added Swarovski crystal details 💅🏻 I fell in love with him immediately after making him and wanted to wear him right away. At the time, I had neither the mood nor the energy to create a complicated necklace, so I quickly attached a paracord string with a carabiner, added some weaving and random charms from my stash. I remember thinking: “Oh well, I’ll wear these cords a couple of times and later replace them with something more serious and beautiful.” Almost three years have passed — and the cord is still there. I’m deeply obsessed with this color combination. Maybe one day I’ll make an alternative chain for this pendant, but the turquoise paracord with the carabiner will always have a place in my heart 🩵
