Priceless
One day I bought three male heads, and each of them developed its own storyline. One became the legendary “Asshole Repellent,” another turned into “The Detached Man,” and this man I placed inside a spiral cocoon — as if one day he would transform into a more serious piece from my collection and finally get rid of this ridiculous purple cord.
In African tribal culture, there is a phenomenon of necklaces made from skulls or heads. These could serve as trophies made from enemies’ heads or from the bones of important and respected people.
Such objects could symbolize a connection with ancestors, a reminder of life’s impermanence (memento mori 💀), a protective talisman, or simply a trophy emphasizing status.
